Mexico Recruiters

For many international organizations, including many companies from the United States, recruiting in Mexico is a challenge that involves dealing with a black box. In some ways, it is but in others; it’s not.

Mexico, like many other countries, is very diverse in cultural regions. There is no ‘single Mexico.’ In many regards, the cultural differences between the different regions in Mexico are much more complex than the differences between regions in the United States. When it comes to cultural diversity, Mexico is much more similar to Europe.

If we address recruiters and recruiting in Mexico, we can cast a very wide and complex net. However, there is one important factor to take into consideration: If you feel that the cultural gap between yourself, the recruiter in Mexico that you are partnering with, and the candidates is wide, then you have the wrong recruiting partner.

Within Mexico’s broad cultural diversity, there are groups and individuals that are incredibly aligned with an international management culture, and they are not difficult to spot. Follow the employment trail at international organizations, foreign assignments, dual citizenship, and education in other countries. Don’t just look for bilingual candidates, look for bicultural candidates and recruiting partners.

At Alder Koten we are recruiters of high-impact talent in Mexico. We understand the culture and behaviors in Mexico as well as global corporate values. Our executive search consultants and recruiters are experts in multicultural talent that can thrive in Mexico working for a multinational organization with global management practices. In many cases, our consultants and recruiters have lived and work in both the United States and Mexico and have dual citizenship.

Give us a call or send us an email if you’re overwhelmed with potential cultural differences when recruiting talent in Mexico.
