Toyota has invested over 700 million dollars in opening a new plant in Mexico to support its vehicle manufacturing. The plant is located in Apasea el Grande in the central state of Guanajuato. The plant will focus on manufacturing the Tacoma pickup. The same model that is already being manufactured in Tecate Baja California. The move will shift manufacturing in the United States as Toyota moves Tacoma production from Texas to Mexico, shifts Sequoia from Indiana to Texas.
